Bernadine Johnson is well known and experienced Aboriginal artist. She comes from Utopia which is a birthplace for many famous Aboriginal Artists. She now lives with her husband Stephen Pitjara, who is also an established artist, and two children in South Australia. Bernadine’s Language group is Arrernte and her dreaming is Bush Tucker.

The motifs in her works are neat, clear and colourful; and the minute details are wonderful. She depicts semi-circles representing women and concentric circles representing waterholes in this design. The women, after collecting various fruits for their food (tucker), sit around the waterholes with coolamon in front of them and digging stick by their side.

Faye Oliver is an experienced and well established artist. She worked at Keringke Art Centre for about six years, as an assistant art co-ordinator. Her artworks have been exhibited in various countries. She also received a number of art awards. Through her works, she tries to bring harmony in the community. The expression of modesty can be seen in her works. She believes in trust and peace in the community.

Faye’s artworks are colourful, neat and beautiful. She learnt painting from sister Edith, one of sacred heart nuns. In this design, she depicts sacred women (healers) moving around the bush in groups, singing scared songs, collecting different types of medicinal herbs and leaves. Some women are digging for the medicinal roots with their digging stick. They use these medicinal plants to heal the wounded.

Sandy Creek is a beautiful place in Northern Territory of Australia. Many people visit this place every year to see a wonderful waterfall called Tjanera Fall. There are some Aboriginals who interact with tourists, telling Dreamtime Stories and involving them in the timber cutting activities.

Janet Long Nakamarra is an experienced and intelligent designer. In this design, she depicted the plain land under the waterfall and the surrounding area. Some people are sitting around the waterhole and some are walking around, whom Janet skilfully depicted with semi-circles.

Janet’s Sandy Creek design is vibrant and bold. Underground Water and Fire Dreaming are some of Janet’s famous designs from M&S Textiles Australia.

Tanya Price was born in 1972, in Alron, north of Alice Springs, NT. She now lives in Utopia.Tanya speaks both Anmatyerre and Alyawarra Aboriginal languages. She learnt painting from her parents and grandparents. Her Dreaming is Bush Tucker. Tanya uses fine dotting techniques as the background of her artworks. Her designs are precise, vibrant and attractive.

In Bush Food Dreaming, she presents a number of motifs in a clear and neat manner. She depicts a fan fair of foods like Oranges, Bush Plums, Bush Berries, Lemons etc. It is a corroboree where people are happily eating, dancing and discussing various social matters, enjoying their presence.
